Corbin Seat for XB12X Ulysses
The Gunfighter & Lady saddle provides a slightly lower seating position than stock, taking the unladen seat height of 35 inches down to 33 and a half. Although this may sound dramatic, the Buell still has a significant reach to the ground. The Corbin saddle is designed to maximize comfort while riding the bike so you'll find it best to slide forward in the seat for ground reach at stop signs. This saddle is designed for the best combination of ground reach and long range comfort. Ground reach with this seat tested well for riders with an inseam of 31 - 32 inches who found it an improvement over the stock Buell seat's reach. For riders with serious reach issues, Corbin can offer a custom built lower model at some marginal expense of seating width. Please keep in mind that custom models require more time in the shop for manufacturing. Naturally, Corbin have designed this saddle to work with Buell's built in luggage rack/backrest Triple Tail(TM). Whether you're using it to haul your favorite copilot or just a gear bag, the Corbin seat fits perfect. Also notice how closely the saddle fits to the tank, chassis and tail section of the bike. This kind of fit is available only from Corbins patented manufacturing process. Naturally, the passenger accommodations on the dual saddle are top notch with sculpted ergonomics to provide long range support. Both the front and rear seating positions are designed to emulate the shape of the human body and create more square inches of body contact. This equates to better weight dispersion and all day riding comfort. Naturally, seating platforms are neutralized to curb sliding in the saddle under braking or acceleration. Corbin's exclusive Comfort Cell foam provides a firm, resilient perch that supports your body weight better than the stock cushion. Foam density is an important factor in long range comfort and we always say... "Firm is a good thing". Comfort Cell® foam combined with the patented molding process deliver unmatched contoured support. Over time, the foam will break in and begin to take on your shape for a personalized fit to your posture. On the outside Corbin use genuine leather seating for a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. Additionally, leather will break in along with the foam to support the personalized fit. On the model shown, they used Carbon-Fiber style leather in the seating areas with Asphalt vinyl side panels to tie in visually with the Ulysses' chassis. This combination looks dynamic on both the black bike or the orange model. A wide range of leather & vinyl materials are available for a custom look if desired (see Corbin website for details). Corbin's saddle mounts like stock with a tongue in the front and included latch bracket at the rear. The entire saddle rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint job. Rear seat latch is adjustable to assure a perfect fit with your Buell key lock system. When new, you may wish to put a washer between seat and bracket to ease locking on the bike. Remove these washers once the rubber bumpers have broken in a bit.
